Florida Association of School Psychologists 44th Annual Conference

It's that time of year again to add to our school psychology toolbox, to network with colleagues from around the state, and to enjoy the seascape of Florida's Atlantic Coast.  Escape your day-to-day routines and join us at the Hilton Daytona Beach Resort & Ocean Walk Village.

The theme for this year's annual conference is Finding Balance.  As school psychologists, we wear many hats and represent the interests of multiple educational stakeholders.  Yet, we manage to keep students at the center.  Our vision for this conference is to provide you with ideas, interventions, and strategies to assist others while also encouraging self-care.

In addition to showcasing the work our leaders in our state, FASP is thrilled to announce our line-up of featured presenters who will share their expertise on a variety of topics, including:

  • Dr. Kathleen Williams: addressing aural and written composition difficulties; and differentiating reading disabilities (Wednesday AM and PM, 3 CEs each) *sponsored by WPS*
  • Dr. David Schwartz: concussion assessment and management; integrating technology (Thursday AM and Friday PM, 3 CEs each)
  • Dr. Sam Ortiz on evidence-based ELL evaluation practices (Thursday AM, 3 CE) *sponsored by MHS*
  • Dr. Dawn Flanagan: SLD assessment and intervention (Friday AM, 3 CEs)
  • Dr. Ira Cohen: ASD assessment (Friday AM, 3 CEs) *sponsored by MHS*
  • Dr. Celine Saulnier: Vineland 3 and ASD (Friday PM, 3 CEs) *sponsored by Pearson*
  • Dr. David Schwartz: Using Technology for Student Success (Friday PM, 3 CEs)
PLUS - we are offering domestic violence and medical errors as add-on sessions for licensure renewal Saturday morning
Don't forget to join us at our fun-filled social events on Wednesday & Thursday evenings.
If you require accommodations, please let us know in advance.
